Devendra Yadav, President of the delhi Pradesh congress Committee, on monday (30 December) demanded an investigation from the election commission on the issue of AAP leader Sanjay Singh's wife's vote being cut. He said that the election commission should investigate against aam aadmi party (AAP) rajya sabha MP sanjay singh as to how his wife Anita Singh proves herself to be a voter of Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh as per the affidavit, while sanjay singh is accusing of getting her name cut from the delhi voter list by holding a press conference. He further said, "He has also released a photo of him coming out after casting his vote in the New delhi assembly constituency. This is a punishable offence under Section 31 of the Representation of Peoples Act.''
Devendra Yadav raised questions on Sanjay Singh
Devendra Yadav said, ''Sanjay Singh, who calls himself a soldier of the so-called honest Arvind Kejriwal, should clarify his position that if his wife has voted being a delhi voter, then why did Anita Singh write in the affidavit that she is a voter of Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh? Which is illegal.'' He said that the election commission and law enforcement agencies should take strict action to punish the culprits.
AAP and bjp are misleading the people of delhi - Congress
For the last several days in delhi, aam aadmi party and bjp have been accusing each other of cutting and getting votes cut. This is the reason why the leaders of both the parties are giving their statements every day by putting forward new things with a new issue. On this, delhi congress state president Devendra Yadav said, "BJP and aam aadmi party leaders are trying to divert the attention of Delhiites from the stalled development by doing politics of dividing votes of Poorvanchal and Rohingya refugees. They are trying to divert attention from the current problems."
