arif mohammad khan has taken oath as the 42nd governor of bihar yesterday (Thursday). He has been administered the oath of office and secrecy by Chief Justice of patna High court Vinod Chandran. Earlier, arif mohammad khan was the governor of Kerala. While taking oath, arif mohammad khan said, "I swear in the name of god that I will faithfully perform the office of governor of bihar and will protect, preserve and defend the Constitution and law to the best of my ability and I will remain engaged in the service and welfare of the people of Bihar."
Before taking oath, governor arif mohammad khan went to Bans Ghat in patna and paid tribute to the former prime minister of the country, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. He said, "Today is my swearing-in and these are the people because of whom we have become independent, so it is important to remember them."
