The claims of hyderabad Lok Sabha mp and All india Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) national president asaduddin owaisi on the police post being built in front of Shahi Jama Masjid in sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, have suffered a major setback. district Magistrate sambhal Dr. Rajendra Pensia has rejected the claims.
On the allegations made by AIMIM President asaduddin owaisi, sambhal DM Rajendra Pensia said, 'The police post is being constructed as per the rules. letters have been sent where permission was required. There is no valid basis for claims on the land.'
Owaisi had made this claim
Apart from this, DM Rajendra Pensia said, 'Sambhal is often called the city of Shambhu. It is home to three major temples: Chandreshwar, Sambheshwar and Bhuneshwar. There are 19 wells, 36 old settlements, 52 inns and 68 pilgrimage sites between them. All these together make up a total of 87 holy places.'
Owaisi had claimed that the police post being built near the Jama Masjid in sambhal is on Waqf land, as recorded in the records. Also, construction work is prohibited near monuments protected under the Ancient Monuments Act. PM narendra modi and cm Yogi Adityanath are responsible for creating a dangerous atmosphere in Sambhal. Owaisi had said that this is Waqf number 39-A, Moradabad. This is the Waqfnama of the land on which the police post is being constructed. The Uttar Pradesh government has no respect for the law. Owaisi had questioned the government's priorities and said that they can build a police post near a historic mosque in sambhal, but fail to provide basic facilities like education and healthcare.
