delhi police foiled a suicide attempt. The 15-year-old girl had allegedly jumped into the yamuna river due to stress of studies. The police team saved the girl from drowning. An official said on sunday that the incident took place on Saturday.

Deputy Commissioner of police (North) raja Banthia said that the woman informed the Roop nagar police station about the daughter's disappearance. The girl's mother told the police that the rest of the family had gone out leaving the daughter alone at home. After talking about academic performance, the mother got worried that the daughter might take a big step. So she asked the son to inquire about the sister. Banthia said that on returning home, the son saw that the sister had left a suicide note.

A police team led by ACP Vineeta Tyagi started the search operation. The team examined CCTV footage and questioned the locals, focusing on the Signature Bridge and 'Wazirabad Old Bridge' areas. The help of 'Metro Site Guard' was also taken in the search operation.

Banthiya said, 'During the search, the girl was seen jumping into the yamuna river. A guard and swimmer Brijesh Kumar jumped into the yamuna river and saved the girl from drowning. The police team immediately counselled the girl after taking her out of the river. After completing the legal formalities, the girl has been handed over to her family. The family thanked the police after finding their daughter safe. The girl's suicide attempt failed due to the action taken by the police without any delay. people are praising the delhi police a lot.
