A case of murder on the accusation of being a witch has come to light on monday in Gorgama of Salkhua police station area of Saharsa district of Bihar. The woman has been identified as 65-year-old Kelly Devi, wife of Ramvilas Sah, resident of Gorgama Sah Tola. police is investigating the matter. On receiving the information of the incident, Simri Bakhtiyarpur SDPO mukesh Kumar Thakur, Circle Inspector Mo Sujauddin, Simri Bakhtiyarpur police station Head ajay Paswan, SI PC Chaudhary, Sudhir Kumar, dhananjay Singh, PSI sweety Kumari, deepak Kumar and others reached the spot and took the body in their possession and started the process of sending it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The FSL team has been called on the spot. The crime scene has been secured.
Son accuses neighbor of murder
The deceased's son Paplesh Kumar and son-in-law Sanjit Kumar have accused neighbor and brother-in-law Satan Sah and his family members of strangulating her to death. However, till the time of writing the news, the body has not reached Sadar Hospital for postmortem and neither has an FIR been registered in the police station on the application or statement of the victim's family.
The son and son-in-law said that the neighbor always harassed my mother by calling her a witch. He was unnecessarily accusing my mother of making his wife sick and was pressuring her to cure her, regarding which many times panchayats were held at the social level. The matter was resolved in the panchayat. Since Sunday, those people were again abusing and threatening to kill. At night these people strangled her to death.
