There is a growing demand to free lucknow city from illegal Bangladeshis. Recently, the Mayor had written a letter to the DM asking for an investigation into illegal Bangladeshi Rohingyas living in lucknow, while now mla OP Srivastava from lucknow east has asked the cm to take cognizance of this matter. OP Srivastava met the chief minister and talked about freeing his east assembly from Bangladeshis and illegal encroachments made by them. After this meeting, the mla told the media that there are many places in the east assembly where a large number of Bangladeshis are living illegally by putting up slums. Due to which anarchy, filth and unrest is increasing in the area. At the same time, these people have also played a big role in polluting the Kukrail river.
These people are living in the settlements illegally - MLA
The mla said that drug abuse is happening on a large scale in these settlements and these people have even got their aadhar cards made on the basis of forged documents. Due to which these people are taking basic facilities including electricity, water. The mla said that these people have come and settled here during the time of previous governments and now we have requested the cm to investigate them. The mla said that recently these people had also attacked the Municipal Corporation team.
The mla has also submitted a list of different areas in his assembly constituency. Where there are illegal settlements. Regarding this, the mla has demanded from the cm that an administrative committee should be formed under the chairmanship of the Divisional Commissioner and all illegal settlements should be investigated and verification of the residence and birth certificates of the people who are being employed by the Municipal Corporation in cleaning work should also be ensured.
