Anti Narcotics Cell of delhi police, Dwarka district has achieved a major success by arresting two interstate illegal liquor suppliers. 944 quarters of illegal country liquor and two tvs jupiter scooties have been seized from them. The arrested accused have been identified as Neeraj alias Niranjan (22 years) and Shashi Shekhar Kumar alias Guddu (19 years).
The accused used to bring illegal liquor from haryana and supply it in various areas of Delhi. They used two new scooties to smuggle liquor. The liquor was packed in big black bags to avoid the eyes of the police. Four cartons were kept in each bag, and the remaining quarters were hidden in the boot of the scooty.
Caught due to the alertness of the police team
On december 22, the police received a secret information that both the accused were going to bring illegal liquor from Dwarka Expressway towards Sector 23. Based on the information, a team of Head Constable Jitendra Yadav, sandeep Kumar, Constable Mahipal and Rahul, led by Inspector Subhash Chand, laid a trap. The police team stopped both the scooters near Usana Greens Banquet near Sector 23. The accused riding a scooter was immediately caught, while the rider of the other scooter fell while trying to escape and tried to hide in the forest. The police surrounded him and arrested him too.

•Kidnapping case (FIR No. 706/23, PS Mehrauli)
•FIR No. 351/2023, PS Vasant Kunj North.
•Came to delhi in search of a job but got into the illegal liquor business when he could not find work
2. Shashi Shekhar Kumar alias Guddu
•Resident: village Kamalpur, police station Ghailrah, district Madhepura, Bihar
•No criminal record.
•Came to delhi with Neeraj and got involved in liquor smuggling
A total of 19 cartons (944 quarters) of Desi whisky (for sale in Haryana) and two scooties without number plates have been recovered from the accused. According to DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh, strict monitoring is being done on illegal liquor supply in Dwarka district and such campaigns will continue in future as well.
