Senior AAP leader and delhi cm Atishi made all the leaders wear a turban and cap and made them join Aam Aadmi Party. She said that many congress officials including former youth congress vice president jaspreet singh Atwal from Kalkaji, former general secretary Nadeem Khan, Gurpreet Singh Atwal, Gurpal Singh have joined Aam Aadmi Party.
delhi chief minister Atishi said in a press conference at the party headquarters on tuesday (7 January), "I am happy to tell that seeing the work of the delhi government and the facilities provided by arvind kejriwal in delhi for electricity, water, schools, hospitals and free bus travel to women, many leaders associated with congress from different parts of delhi are leaving congress and joining aam aadmi party today."

She said that among the leaders joining AAP are former Vice President of youth congress Kalkaji jaspreet singh Atwal, former General Secretary of youth congress Kalkaji Nadeem Khan, former Vice President of district Sangam vihar youth Wing Gurpreet Singh Atwal, Congress's corporation candidate from east Patel nagar Ward and All india Vice President of Khatik Samaj Shakuntala Parewa and delhi youth Congress' Gajendra Singh." cm Atishi said that along with them, their entire team is also joining Aam Aadmi Party.
Apart from them, Gurpreet Singh Atwal, Parvinder Singh Atwal, Rajveer Singh, Gurvinder Singh, deepak Kumar, Sahdev, Gurpal Singh, Aryansh, Rajveer Singh, Advocate Devendra Rajora, Bhagwan Das, Surendra Jatav, Harpreet Singh, Harjeet Singh, Rohit Kohli, Gulshan Sharma, rk Chaudhary, Inderjeet Sharma, Harvinder Singh Lali, Paramjeet Singh have also left congress and joined AAP.
