Meanwhile chief minister nitish kumar also recalled, ''It was Atal Bihari Vajpayee's wish that I become cm when nda won the assembly elections in bihar for the first time in 2005. So, why would I not stay (with BJP)? Many times my party people made mistakes by pressing for an alliance with Congress-RJD. I corrected it both times.'' nitish kumar was responding to questions about speculations in political circles. RJD chief Lalu prasad Yadav had recently said that he is keeping his doors open for Nitish Kumar. Political speculations intensified after Lalu prasad Yadav's statement. Many leaders had claimed that 'Khela' would be played in bihar after Makar Sankranti.

Moreover bihar cm nitish kumar on monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 344 developmental projects worth Rs 276.80 crore in Vaishali during his visit to the district. He chaired a meeting to review the ongoing developmental schemes of the state government in the district. The chief minister was informed about several ongoing schemes including bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, Mukhyamantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana, Nal Jal. The cm also announced four new power substations which will be opened in four blocks of the district.
