The Anti-Narcotics Squad of South-East district of delhi police has achieved a major success by arresting two drug smugglers with 768.8 grams of heroin. The value of the seized heroin is said to be around Rs 8 crore in the international market. The arrested accused include an illegal Bangladeshi national Hamidul and his aunt Naseema.
South east district DCP ravi Kumar Singh said that keeping in mind the Republic Day and the assembly elections, the South-East district police was instructed to remain vigilant and crack down on organized crimes. The police team arrested a suspected accused Hamidul in the Jangpura Extension area on the basis of a secret information. 75 grams of heroin was recovered from his hideout. A case was registered against both the accused at Hazrat Nizamuddin police station.
Who is behind the big smuggling network?
During interrogation of accused Hamidul, it was found that there is a big smuggling network and his aunt Naseema is behind it. Hamidul told that Naseema had given him this heroin. After this, the police raided Naseema's house, but she had fled. During the search, 80 grams of heroin was recovered from her house.
The delhi police team formed a team to catch Naseema. Then it was found that Naseema was present in a hotel in Sunlight Colony. Immediately after reaching there, the police laid a trap and arrested her. During the search of her hotel room, 693 grams of heroin was recovered. The police seized a total of 768.8 grams of heroin.

According to the police information, Hamidul is 23 years old, hails from bangladesh and came to india illegally 3 months ago. He came in contact with drug smugglers to earn quick money. Apart from this, Naseema lives in Delhi's Sunlight Colony and earlier worked in a news channel. The police team is now interrogating both of them and investigating their entire network.
