"The city recorded a minimum temperature of 6 degrees Celsius in the early hours of january 10. Dense fog reduces the amount of solar radiation reaching the ground, which reduces the height of the mixing layer and pollutants accumulate near the ground," abhishek Kar said. "CAQM has imposed GRAP Stage 3 in delhi and adjoining areas," abhishek Kar said. Authorities should strictly enforce CAQM orders, including banning the plying of old vehicles, speeding up public transport, introducing differential pricing to promote off-peak travel, and banning dust-generating construction activities to improve air quality.
