Delhi's prestigious jawaharlal nehru University is famous for creating new dimensions of education, but here some students have brought it into discussion by violating the rules. It is being told that some students called outsiders to their rooms and also drank alcohol together. In such a situation, a fine of Rs 1.79 lakh has been imposed against the accused students.

According to the report of news agency PTI, JNU officials sent a notice to the students on january 8 and they have been asked to pay the fine within five days. It is said in this notice that 12 unknown boys were seen drinking alcohol in your room and creating a ruckus in the hostel premises, then you were present there. This is against the hostel rules.

Fine imposed twice for inviting outsiders to the hostel

A student has been fined Rs 80,000, of which Rs 60,000 is related to unauthorized entry, Rs 10,000 has been imposed for creating a ruckus, interfering in official matters and threatening the hostel staff. Rs 6,000 has been imposed for keeping induction stove and heater, Rs 2,000 for drinking alcohol and Rs 2,000 for using hookah. Another student was sent notices on december 22 and january 5, claiming that he brought several people to his room and drank alcohol.

Hostel's former president alleges - Administration is extorting money

According to the notice, "The warden committee and security staff tried to open your room at that time but you did not open the door." In such a situation, a fine of Rs 99,000 has been imposed on this student. In this, a fine of Rs 85,000 has been imposed for illegally admitting people twice in the hostel, Rs 10,000 for bad behaviour, Rs 2000 for drinking alcohol and keeping hookah. However, the former president of sutlej hostel says that the fine has been imposed on those people who do not support ABVP. He told the method of this extortion.
