In Dehradun, cm Pushkar Singh Dhami answered questions related to UCC including uttarakhand civic elections while talking to the media. When cm Dhami was asked about the implementation of UCC in the state, in response to this he said that, Uttarayan has started today, it is the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti. All auspicious works are done only after Uttarayan. This is also an auspicious work, this will also happen after Uttarayan. cm Dhami had promised during the assembly elections in the year 2022 that if the bharatiya janata party succeeds in forming the government in the state, then Uniform Civil Code will be implemented across the state.
Now it is believed that UCC can be implemented in the state by the end of January. However, the government is avoiding speaking much on this subject regarding the civic elections. It is being speculated that by january 26, the Dhami government can implement UCC in the state. However, nothing can be said clearly about it yet.
