The Defence Ministry on tuesday said it sealed a cope with state-run Bharat Dynamics Ltd you got medium-range floor-to-air missiles (MRSAM) for the indian navy at a fee of Rs 2,960 crore.



The contract become signed in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.

It said the settlement marks a important milestone within the ongoing efforts to bolster India's defence abilties and indigenise advanced navy technology.


"With the emphasis on 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat', the missiles might be supplied via BDL beneath 'buy (Indian)' class with largely indigenous content material," the ministry said.


"The settlement would generate employment of approx. 3.5 lakh mandays inside the defence enterprise, consisting of numerous MSMEs," it stated.



The contract was signed in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.

"With the emphasis on 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat', the missiles would be supplied by BDL under 'Buy (Indian)' category with largely indigenous content," the ministry said.



"The contract would generate employment of approx. 3.5 lakh mandays in the defence industry, including various MSMEs," it said.
