Former bjp mla kuldeep singh sengar, convicted in the unnao rape case, has got a setback from the delhi High Court. The delhi high court refused to extend the interim bail period. While the delhi high court has deferred the hearing on the petition seeking suspension of Sengar's sentence.

Judge Dharmesh Sharma had pronounced the verdict on kuldeep Singh Sengar's sentence in this case in the lower court. Sengar's lawyer, while demanding an extension of the interim bail period, said that the former MLA's eye operation is to be done on january 24. However, now the delhi high court has asked Sengar to surrender and said that his application will be considered later. kuldeep singh sengar had demanded an extension of the interim bail granted on health grounds in the case of the victim's father's death in custody.

Interim bail was granted in December

In December, the delhi high court granted interim bail to kuldeep singh sengar for 10 days. Then the bail period was extended till january 20 and it was said that it would not be extended. Sengar had then made eye surgery the basis. He had then sought interim bail for five months.

The court had imposed these conditions on Sengar

At that time, while granting bail, the court had also imposed conditions on kuldeep Singh Sengar. It was said that the accused can stay only in Safdarjung area, information of which will be given to the CBI. He can go from home to AIIMS only. Whenever he goes out, he will be under the supervision of a constable. No more than two people can meet him at a time.
