When aam aadmi party forms the government in delhi, the party has decided to give concessions to women as well as students. That is, along with women, all students will also have free bus travel and they will also be given concession in metro fare. Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor arvind kejriwal has given this guarantee to all the students of delhi on Friday. He said that the cost of bus and metro fare will no longer be a hindrance in education. When our government is formed, we will start free travel in buses for school-college students and will also give concession in metro fare. Every penny spent on students is an investment in the future of the country. arvind kejriwal said that delhi Metro is a 50-50 percent joint venture of the Center and delhi Government.
kejriwal wrote a letter to PM Modi
arvind kejriwal said that I have written a letter to the prime minister that we should give 50 percent concession to students in the metro and the cost incurred due to giving concession should be shared between delhi and the central government in the ratio of 50-50. If bjp does not include the matter of giving concession to students in the metro in its manifesto, then why will the students vote for it? In a press conference at the party headquarters, arvind kejriwal said that everyone knows that the aam aadmi party government gives the most importance to education. Because only if we study, the country will progress. There are many poor children who miss their education due to lack of money to go to school and college. Therefore, today I am making a big announcement that if the aam aadmi party government is formed, students will also be given the facility of free travel in buses.
'We should give concession to students in the metro'
arvind kejriwal said that there is already a facility of free travel for women in buses. Therefore, girls get the benefit of this facility, but boys do not get it. arvind kejriwal further said that many students in delhi use the metro to go to school and college. Metro is the lifeline of delhi, but the metro has become very expensive. It has become difficult for a common student to afford it. Metro is a 50-50 venture of the delhi government and the central government. Its profit and loss are shared 50-50 between the two governments. Its capital investment is also shared 50-50. That is why I have written a letter to prime minister Narendra Modi and said that we should give 50 percent concession to students in the metro.
He said that at the same time, the expenses incurred due to giving concession should be shared between the delhi and central governments in the ratio of 50-50. This is a matter of public interest. There is no politics in this and neither should there be any politics. arvind kejriwal said that I hope that prime minister Narendra Modi will definitely accept my appeal for our children and youth. After the elections are over, we will make bus travel free for students and will give them 50 percent concession in the metro.
