The yogi adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh is preparing to create a new economic zone by combining varanasi and Prayagraj. After the advice of niti aayog, work has started on this. It is believed that this will brighten the picture of Purvanchal and will also promote art and culture along with religious tourism in both these areas. Not only this, this zone will be developed on the basis of state-of-the-art technology, which will also increase employment opportunities for the youth here.
niti aayog has advised that UP will have to develop a new economic zone to create a trillion economy. Under this, it has been suggested to create a new economic zone by combining varanasi and Prayagraj. niti aayog CEO BVR Subramaniam presented its outline in this regard to the Chief Secretary of UP government Manoj Kumar Singh. In which it was proposed to make this area a hub of manufacturing and logistics along with religious, art and culture and also talked about promoting horticulture and dairy industry here.
The picture will change by creating a new economic zone
Prayagraj and varanasi are both religious cities. There is a huge amount of religious tourism here, so the development of this area should be such that the devotees coming here stay for three to four days. According to the Niti Ayog, the development of this area will lead to rapid growth in the economy here within five years. Under the scheme, 22,393 sq km area of seven districts will be included in this economic zone. These seven districts are varanasi, Prayagraj, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Ghazipur and Bhadohi.
According to the Niti Ayog, the economy of this region at present is 23 billion dollars. But after the development of the economic zone, it is expected to reach five to six million dollars in the next five years. A new authority will be created for this. Due to which economic activities will accelerate in this area and new employment opportunities will also be created. The commission has also suggested 21 new projects for this place, on which further work can be done.
