The bharatiya janata party (BJP) has not yet won the election from Sultanpur Majra assembly constituency of Delhi. This seat has remained the center of competition between congress and aam aadmi party (AAP) this time too. This time bjp has made Karm Singh Karma its candidate. While AAP has made mukesh Kumar Ahlawat its candidate for the second time. At the same time, congress has entrusted the responsibility of its comeback here to jai Kishan.
If we look at the history of Sultanpur Majra assembly constituency, this seat has been with the congress from 1993 to 2013. congress has consistently given ticket to jai Kishan (once his wife) from this seat. jai Kishan has won the election from here four times. While his wife Sushila has won the election once. In the 2013 elections, jai Kishan defeated AAP's sandeep Kumar by a narrow margin of 11 hundred votes, but in the 2015 elections, Aam Aadmi Party's sandeep Kumar won from here by a big margin. At the same time, in the 2020 elections, AAP's mukesh Kumar Ahlawat won from this seat.
BJP's lotus has not bloomed yet
Talking about the elections so far, congress leader jai Kishan won from here in 1993. After that in 1998, jai Kishan's wife maintained the winning streak of congress here. Then from 2003 to 2013, jai Kishan continued to win elections from here. While in 2025, AAP's sandeep Kumar and in 2020 mukesh Ahlawat registered electoral victory for AAP from here.
bjp has failed to win this seat so far. The party has contested elections with a new face every time, but so far no candidate has been able to make the lotus bloom from here. Even bjp has fielded its senior leaders on this seat, but they too have not won. Sultanpur Majra assembly constituency has about 2.5 lakh voters, most of whom are from the Scheduled Caste. This seat is one of the big seats in Delhi. This time BJP's Karm Singh Karma will face AAP's mukesh Kumar Ahlawat and Congress' jai Kishan. The important question is which party wins from here in this election? Will the lotus bloom from Sultanpur Majra this time or will AAP be able to score a hattrick here.
