A person who was allegedly detained in Raya Satti police post of Nakhasa police station area of sambhal district died. The family members alleged that Irfan (45), a resident of Khaggu Sarai of the police station area, died in police custody and the police did not allow him to take medicine. The police have sent the body for post-mortem. The police said that the cause of death will be clear after the post-mortem report comes.
Now Samajwadi party National President akhilesh yadav has reacted to this. He said that the series of 'deaths in custody' is not stopping inside Uttar Pradesh under the bjp government. In the recent case, public anger erupted due to the death in custody of a person who was taken from home in the name of interrogation in Sambhal. The bjp government, which did injustice, is now in its final phase.
On the other hand, sambhal Superintendent of police (SP) krishan kumar said that on monday at around 11:30 am, a woman named Shafiq Begum had given an application at Raya Satti police post of Nakhasa police station area, in which she said that she had given six lakh rupees to someone through Irfan (her nephew). However, the person to whom the money is claimed to have been given says that he has not received the money. According to the police, after the serious allegations made by the woman, policemen were sent to the spot for investigation and Irfan (45) was brought to the police post. police said that Irfan said at the post that he needed to take medicine, for which he was allowed. police said that after this he complained of chest pain, so he was taken to the hospital from the police post along with his son, where he probably died of heart attack. The SP said that the allegation of not allowing the police to take medicine is completely baseless. He said that CCTV cameras are installed at the post and the father-son stayed there for a few minutes only.
The SP said that the police post in-charge himself had asked him to take the medicine. The SP also said that the CCTV footage of that time in Raya Satti has been released by them, which shows that the said person was given water by the police from which he drank the medicine. But after some time he fell down while walking on his own. The deceased's wife reshma said that five policemen arrested her husband and took him away. She said that her husband is ill and he has undergone an operation on his nose bone in Moradabad. The wife said that the police did not even allow him to take the medicine and arrested him. reshma has five children.
