Light sunshine and dry weather in uttarakhand has given relief from cold to the people of the state. The weather also supported on the day of civic elections. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky is expected to remain clear on the day of counting of votes on january 25. In such a situation, candidates and workers will not face any problem in celebrating.
The Meteorological Center had predicted light rain in the hilly districts on Thursday, but the weather remained completely dry across the state. Sunshine was shining from plains to mountains, which reduced the effect of cold. The maximum temperature in the plains was recorded above normal, which made the weather more pleasant. The maximum temperature of dehradun was recorded at 23.8 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal, while the minimum night temperature increased by three degrees to 9.2 degrees Celsius. Due to this increase in temperature, people got relief from cold even at night.
Weather likely to remain clear on counting day
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be clear across the state on the counting day on january 25. Clear skies will not only facilitate the candidates and workers to celebrate, but the weather will also be favorable for the public. Apart from this, the weather is likely to remain dry in the state till january 27. Meteorologists say that this time there has been a decrease in winter rain in the state.
