Metro services will be started early for Republic Day. On the occasion of Republic Day, delhi Metro will start its service at 3 am on sunday (24 January). This decision has been taken so that people can reach Kartavya Path easily. This information was given in an official statement.

According to the official statement, amid the celebration of Republic Day across the country, delhi Metro will start its services on all lines at 3 am on sunday, so that people can reach Kartavya Path to watch the parade and watch the Republic Day parade and celebrations to be held there.

Trains will run at an interval of 30 minutes

According to the statement, trains will run at an interval of 30 minutes till 6 am to ensure smooth travel of passengers, after which the regular time table will be followed for the rest of the day.

It said that passengers are encouraged to plan their travel plans and avail the morning metro services to avoid any last minute inconvenience.

Tight security arrangements

On the other hand, tight security arrangements have been made in delhi for the Republic Day celebrations. More than 70 companies of paramilitary forces and more than 15,000 policemen will be deployed in the capital. A senior police officer said that drones will also be monitored and CCTV surveillance and cyber expert officers will be deployed to oversee the operations. The officer said, "We have already established a multi-layered security system. We have a six-tier system of checking and body search. Apart from this, there will be multi-layered barricading. We have installed several thousand CCTV cameras in New delhi district, including cameras with face recognition system (FRS)."
