Should UP be divided into four parts or not?

Uttar Pradesh is the largest state in the country in terms of population. The maximum number of assembly and lok sabha seats come from UP. In such a situation, there have been many calls to divide UP into four parts. But now a big statement of chief minister yogi Adityanath has come out on the division of UP. cm yogi has completely rejected it. He said that the real strength of UP lies in its unity.

In an interview given to Network 18, cm yogi talked about dividing UP into four parts. During this, when he was questioned about the proposal of dividing UP by the then chief minister mayawati in the year 2011, he said that UP is UP in itself. This is its potential. It is more important for us to keep it united than to divide UP.

Response to the demand to divide UP

cm yogi said that UP has the ability to move forward with its strength and identity. Therefore, we should unite and fulfill our goal. This is our real identity and pride. He stressed that Uttar Pradesh needs to be united and not divided. The people of the state should be proud of their history and traditions and we should all take it forward together.

Let us tell you that in 2011, a proposal was brought by the mayawati government to divide Uttar Pradesh into four parts - Purvanchal, Western Pradesh, Bundelkhand and Awadh Pradesh. But the UPA government at the center rejected this proposal. Not only this, sanjeev Balyan, who was a Union minister during the lok sabha elections, has also supported the demand to make West Pradesh a separate state. The main reason behind this demand is believed to be that being a small state will lead to better development.
