Regarding this, mallikarjun Kharge said, "There is a competition among bjp leaders to take a dip in the Ganga. Dipping in the ganga will not remove poverty, but I do not want to hurt anyone's faith." He also called the people of BJP-RSS 'traitors' and said that congress will never tolerate exploitation of the poor in the name of religion.

Sambit Patra challenged the congress leaders

While hitting back at mallikarjun Kharge, bjp spokesperson Sambit Patra said, "Mahakumbh has been a symbol of faith for millions of years. There is a feeling of devotion all over the world. At the same time, a political party is making fun of it. What Kharge ji said today hurts a lot. He said that will poverty be removed by taking a dip? I challenge Kharge ji, rahul ji, priyanka ji that can they say this about the faith of any other religion? Thousands of people go for Haj, we respect them."
