GST department will keep a close watch on establishments!

Pan masala and iron traders in kanpur are quite upset with the 24-hour surveillance of state GST officials, the traders have now decided to migrate. Many businessmen have finished 80 percent of their production work. Some have made preparations to go to other states and set up new units. The traders said that GST officials are keeping a 24-hour watch on their establishments and are harassing them in the name of checking and collecting money. After which, keeping in mind all the allegations, the officials have removed the team of officers from outside the establishments of the businessmen. Instead, CCTVs are being installed for surveillance so that the officers will keep an eye on every activity while sitting in the office.

Actually, the intention of the officials to prevent tax evasion through screening of e-waybill has troubled the traders so much that the businessmen have got security guards for their business in the form of GST officials. The warehouse was being monitored 24 hours a day in different shifts, GST was keeping an eye on every factory. Which was causing problems for the traders. For this, the traders had also protested. Along with this, they had also complained about this matter to the Chief minister, the prime minister and the Finance minister of the country.

Officials will monitor with the third eye

Now when the situation of migration started developing in kanpur, which is called the industrial capital, the officials removed their presence from outside the traders' establishments and installed the third eye. Now, from the control room built in the State GST office, the goods taken out from the traders' establishments will be scanned with CCTV, CCTVs have been installed outside the warehouses and factories of some businessmen, which the officers can monitor and get complete information from while sitting in the office.

At the same time, Additional Commissioner State GST Kumar anand said that, traders feel uncomfortable with the 24-hour surveillance of the mobile squad. They feel that their privacy is being violated, but to fulfill the instructions of the government, businessmen will not have any problem with this kind of system. Also, our action and monitoring will also remain intact. For this, CCTV cameras are being installed by our department. A control form has also been created in the department through which the clearance of goods of all traders can be monitored.
