3 assam Rifles employees die because of suspected meals poisoning in Manipur


IMPHAL: 3 assam Rifles personnel stationed at Leimaram Waroiching in Kangpokpi district of Manipur have died due to suspected meals poisoning, officers said on Tuesday.



officers stated the three had been many of the five employees who have been admitted to the nearby Institute of scientific Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal on monday following food poisoning signs which includes vomiting.


The three were diagnosed as Lance Naik Rama Shankar, 59, a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district, Havildar Umesh Kumar, 49, a resident of Buxar district in Bihar, and Warrant Officer (GD) Phoolchand, 56, from dehradun in Uttarakhand.


Shankar died on monday at the same time as Kumar and Phoolchand died inside the early hours of Tuesday. Their our bodies can be sent to their circle of relatives after


the 2 different personnel, Rifleman Ghanashyam Singh, forty eight, from Atrarson Village, Chhapra district in Bihar, and Naib Subedar (GD) Gagan Singh, fifty nine, from Haridwar district in Uttarakhand, are suggested to be out of chance, the health facility stated.


A physician on the hospital said the soldiers had been introduced in with signs and symptoms of food poisoning but declined to comment on the purpose of loss of life until the post-postautopsy document comes in.


A Manipur police officer said they have requested the paramilitary pressure to hand over bottles of liquor consumed by using the infantrymen.


An AR officer rejected pointers that the deaths may be linked to spurious liquor, underlining that it became a suspected case of meals poisoning. He said the 5 were rushed to hospital on monday after complaining of chest pain and vomiting.


police have registered an unnatural death case in reference to the incident, and an investigation is underway.
