Tourists broke all records in UP in 2024, increase of 17 crores!
The popularity of UP is constantly increasing among tourists. The figures released by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department have given proof of this. The number of tourists coming to the state has increased by about 17 crores in the year 2024 as compared to the year 2023. The special thing is that the attraction of UP has increased in the country as well as abroad. There has been an increase of about 7 lakhs in the number of foreign tourists in a year.
Yogi government's Tourism and culture minister Jaiveer Singh said that there are immense possibilities of tourism in Uttar Pradesh. Continuous efforts are being made to bring it to the ground. The state has remained the first choice of domestic tourists since the year 2022. The arrival of foreign tourists is also a priority to achieve this achievement.
How many tourists came?
According to Tourism minister Jaiveer Singh, a total of 64,90,76,213 tourists came to Uttar Pradesh in the year 2024, while a total of 48,01,27,191 tourists came in 2023. Thus there was a total increase of 16,89,49,022 in a year. Last year 22,69,067 foreign tourists came, while in 2023 there were 16,01,503 foreign tourists. Thus, an increase of about 6,67,564 has been recorded in the number of foreign tourists in a year.
He told that after the installation of Shri Ramlala in Shri ram Janmabhoomi, there has been a rapid increase in the number of tourists in Ayodhya. In the year 2024, a total of 16,44,19,522 devotees reached there, while in the year 2023 this number was 5,75,70,896. Thus, there has been an increase of 10,68,48,626 in one year. 11,00,97,743 devotees came to Kashi in the year 2024, while in 2023 a total of 10,18,67,618 devotees had arrived.
