Let us tell you that on tuesday (28 January), the supreme court gave relief to Tahir Hussain, accused in the 2020 delhi riots, and granted him 6 days custody parole for election campaign. A three-member bench of Justice vikram Nath, Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice sandeep Mehta accepted Hussain's petition to campaign in police custody from 29 january to 3 February. Tahir Hussain is contesting the elections from Delhi's Mustafabad assembly seat on an AIMIM ticket. Under custody parole, the prisoner is escorted to the meeting place by armed police personnel. Voting will be held on all the seats in delhi on february 5 while the results will be declared on february 8.
