Will the broom be used again on Tilak nagar seat?

Delhi's Tilak nagar assembly seat was once considered a stronghold of bharatiya janata party, but after the entry of aam aadmi party in politics in the year 2013, bjp was marginalized here due to their broom, while the country's oldest party congress is fighting for its existence here, know what is the political equation of this seat. Before talking about the past elections, it came into existence after delimitation in the year 2008. Tilak nagar is a part of West delhi Lok Sabha constituency along with nine other assembly constituencies Madipur, Rajouri Garden, hari Nagar, Najafgarh, Janakpuri, Vikaspuri, Dwarka, Matiala and Uttam Nagar.

bjp was also wiped out along with congress due to AAP's broom.

bjp dominated here in the elections from 1993 to 2008 and bjp won all three elections except 1998. While vinod kumar Sharma led bjp to victory in 1993, in 2003 and 2008, BJP's veteran leader OP Babbar brought bjp back to power after losing this seat to Congress's Mahabal Mishra in 1998. But after that, AAP swept the seat in such a way that along with congress, bjp was also wiped out from here.

Aam Aadmi Party's Jarnail Singh won all the three elections held from 2013 to 2020. The special thing is that the margin of his victory increased every time. While his victory margin in 2013 was just 2088 votes, in 2015 the difference between him (57,180) and BJP's Rajiv Babbar (37,290) became 19,890, which became even bigger in 2020 and in that election Jarnail Singh (62,436) defeated BJP's Babbar (34,407) by more than 28 thousand votes. This time again he is ready to wipe out his opponents in the electoral field with AAP's broom and this time he is facing BJP's Shweta saini and Congress' PS Baba.

Jarnail Singh can benefit from the majority of Sikh voters

Talking about the voters of Tilak nagar assembly seat, the total number of voters in this Sikh dominated seat is 1,59,261 which includes 81,127 men and 78,129 women. If we look at the caste wise voter data, there are 36% punjabi Sikhs, 09% upper caste, 03% Muslim and the rest are OBC and Dalit voters. AAP's Jarnail Singh, who is contesting from here, comes from the Sikh community, which may benefit him once again. Whereas both bjp and congress have fielded non-Sikh candidates, which they may have to face the consequences of.
