What is the agenda of political parties for traders in Delhi?
The Federation of Sadar Bazar Trade Association called a meeting of traders. The problems of Sadar Bazar were discussed in the meeting. Chairman Paramjit Singh Pamma and President Rakesh Yadav said that there are 40 thousand shopkeepers in Sadar Bazar. There are a large number of workers along with the shopkeepers. Traders play a key role in deciding the victory and defeat on various seats in Delhi. They expressed concern over the absence of any mention of solving the problems of the business class in the manifestos of political parties.
Pamma and Yadav expressed anger over the neglect of political parties towards traders. They said that instead of announcing free things, employment schemes should come up in the elections. There should be a provision in the scheme for traders to easily get loans at cheap interest rates to small shopkeepers and factory owners. They said that no political party is raising the issue of traders' interests in the manifesto. The Chairman and President of the Federation of Sadar Bazar Trade Association said that protests have also been held against the problems.
Demand for Sadar Bazar Vikas Board
The traders had to come out on the streets and stage protests. No party is talking about the interests of the business class. They demanded that the interests of the traders be included in the manifesto from the political parties. The traders told about the problem of sealing. There is also a demand from the political parties to open the sealed shops. The traders also expressed the need to establish Sadar Bazar Vikas Board. They said that 4 to 5 multi-level parking should be arranged in Sadar Bazar.
Traders appealed to the parties
The parking should have a capacity of about ten thousand vehicles. They also demanded the announcement of an insurance scheme for the traders. Paramjit Singh Pamma, Rakesh Yadav and Rajinder Sharma said that crores of rupees of tax is collected from Sadar Bazar. After taking the votes of the traders, the leaders disappear. The condition of Sadar Bazar is getting worse. If the interests are not talked about in the manifesto, political parties will also be boycotted.
