Former chief minister of delhi and National Convenor of aam aadmi party (AAP) arvind kejriwal is busy in a vigorous campaign. Meanwhile, he reached Karawal nagar assembly constituency, considered to be the stronghold of bjp, on tuesday (28 January). Interestingly, a few steps away from where Kejriwal's rally was held in Karawal nagar, there was also a public meeting of bjp candidate Kapil Mishra. Beginning the public meeting, arvind kejriwal claimed that many bjp people were showing me black flags behind this (stage), my greetings to them too. I want to tell them that when our government will be formed in delhi, we will arrange for free electricity for them too and good education for their children. They are also our brothers, but they have gone astray.

Karawal nagar is BJP's stronghold
Kapil Mishra has been an mla from Karawal nagar on AAP ticket. He resigned from aam aadmi party a few years ago and joined BJP. bjp has been winning the Karawal nagar seat since 1993. BJP's Mohan Singh Bisht was elected mla from this seat in 1998, 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2020. He faced defeat only in the 2015 elections. Then he was defeated by AAP candidate Kapil Mishra. This time bjp has made Kapil Mishra its candidate from this seat. Bisht has been given ticket from Mustafabad.
