Meanwhile, congress candidate from Delhi's Kalkaji assembly seat Alka Lamba campaigned in Govindpuri area on wednesday (January 29). During this, she went door-to-door and appealed to vote in favor of the party. She said that the people of delhi now want change. During this, Alka Lamba said, "Today I took a padyatra in Govindpuri area. After coming here, I came to know that the streets of Govindpuri are broken and there is a network of wires above it. The drinking water here is also dirty. The people of the area are unhappy, but the leaders of bjp and AAP say give us one more chance."

She further said, "I will only say this much to bjp and aam aadmi party that the people here have given them a chance again and again, but they have betrayed the public. The people of delhi now want change and only congress can bring that change. I am hopeful that the congress party will win the Kalkaji seat and no one can stop them from doing so."

Alka Lamba is contesting from Kalkaji assembly on a congress ticket. chief minister Atishi and BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri are in the fray against her. aam aadmi party has won this seat in 2015 and 2020. aam aadmi party is claiming to win this seat for the third consecutive time.

This assembly has a good number of voters from Sikh community, OBC, Vaishya, Gurjar, SC, Muslim community. About 27 percent are Sikhs, 9 percent Brahmins and 7 percent Muslims.
