AIMIM candidate Shifa ur Rehman gets custody parole!
Karkardooma court has granted custody parole to AIMIM's Okhla candidate Shifa ur Rehman for election campaign. The court granted custody parole to Shifa ur Rehman till february 3 for election campaign. The court said that Shifa ur Rehman can stay at her home during parole.
Shifa ur Rehman had sought custody parole citing Tahir Hussain's custody parole order. Shifa ur Rehman was arrested in the 2020 delhi riots conspiracy case. Tahir Hussain has also been granted custody parole for six days by the supreme Court. He can get out of jail for six hours every day. Both of them were earlier granted custody parole with conditions to file nomination.
Case registered against Shifa under UAPA
Shifa ur Rehman was arrested on 26 april 2020 for inciting communal violence during the delhi riots. She has been the president of Jamia Millia Islamia Alumni Association. Apart from various sections of the IPC, a case is also registered against her under UAPA.
Candidate against Amanatullah Khan
Shifa ur Rehman is in the fray against AAP mla Amanatullah Khan in Okhla. Amanatullah Khan had also raised questions on her candidature. He got angry at AIMIM chief asaduddin owaisi in a public meeting and alleged that he wants to give this seat to bjp, so he has fielded a candidate. Amanatullah had said during the election campaign that what is the sacrifice of Asaduddin Owaisi. Where was he during the delhi riots. This person is not your sympathiser but wants to divide your vote with emotions. bjp has given ticket to manish Chaudhary and Congress's Areeb Khan from this seat. Amanatullah Khan is a two-time mla here.
