Kerala leader of Opposition Satheesan alleged that kavitha had arrived in kerala to push approvals for Oasis Commercial Private Limited Company, raising questions over her involvement in the process.
Kerala leader of Opposition v D Satheesan on thursday alleged that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha, daughter of former telangana chief minister K chandrasekhar Rao, had visited kerala in connection with securing approval for a brewery unit in Palakkad. The claim was swiftly dismissed by Kavitha, who called it baseless and defamatory.
Satheesan alleged that kavitha had arrived in kerala to push approvals for Oasis Commercial Private Limited Company, raising questions over her involvement in the process. Speaking to the media, he demanded an investigation into her visit.
"I want to ask Rajesh to tell the reason for Kavitha's visit to kerala and whom all she met. It should be noted that kavitha was in jail in the controversial delhi excise policy case," he said, as per a report on IANS.
The congress leader further alleged that the decision to grant permission for Oasis Commercial Private Limited Company to set up a liquor manufacturing unit was taken unilaterally by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Excise minister M B Rajesh, without proper consultation with concerned government departments, the report said.
Kavitha Rejects Allegations
Responding to the allegations, K kavitha dismissed Satheesan’s claims as a reckless political stunt aimed at gaining attention. She alleged that the claims made against her were a 'reckless attempt by the Congress' to grab cheap political attention. She rejected the statements as 'fabricated claims' aimed at maligning her reputation.
She further warned of legal action against Satheesan if he failed to immediately and unconditionally retract his statements.
In a statement from Hyderabad, Kavitha as per PTI said, "Let me make this clear, if Mr Satheesan does not issue an immediate and unconditional retraction of his false statements, I will be compelled to take stringent legal action to hold him accountable for this malicious slander and to protect my integrity."
