Nirvana Mahotsav accident: Magisterial investigation begins...
Magisterial investigation has begun into the accident that took place during the Nirvana Laddu Mahotsav at the Mana Stambh in the ground of Digambar Jain college in Baraut city of Baghpat on january 28. A six-member team of officials reached the Mana Stambh at the spot on wednesday and conducted a point-wise investigation. During this time, there was a stir among the people who organized the festival.
On the other hand, anyone can give their written or oral statement regarding this accident. A large number of devotees were climbing the wooden scaffolding during the Nirvana Laddu Mahotsav at the Mana Stambh in the ground of Digambar Jain college Baraut on the morning of january 28. During this time, the wooden scaffolding collapsed under the pressure of the crowd, with which many devotees fell down from a height of 61 feet.
In this incident, Tarshpal, Amit, Arun Jain, Shilpi, Kamlesh, usha and Vipin died, while more than 60 devotees were injured. They were admitted to various hospitals. DM Asmita Lal had ordered a magisterial inquiry into the accident. A committee of six officers was constituted under the chairmanship of ADM Judicial Subhash Singh.
They have been given the investigation
It included ASP, XEN PWD, Assistant director Electrical Safety, fire Safety Officer and In-charge FSL. The team members reached the spot on wednesday and started the investigation. On the spot, poles were seen standing in clay drums and some unseen things came to light. ADM Subhash Singh and ASP NP Singh talked to the organizers. This festival was organized by Shri 1008 Adinath Bhaktamar Prachar Sangath, Baraut. On the other hand, ADM Judicial Subhash Singh said that in this case any person can give his statement in written or oral form in his office or court. It is to be investigated on 3 points, which include investigation of necessary security arrangements at the event venue, investigation of the causes of the accident and suggestions and precautions to prevent such accidents in future.
