CM yogi announcements on maha Kumbh stampede?

30 people were killed in a stampede that took place at 1 am on wednesday, january 29 during the maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This information was shared by the state government. Meanwhile, chief minister yogi adityanath has made 3 important announcements.

In the first announcement, the cm has announced a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to the families of the deceased. Apart from this, the second important announcement has been made regarding the judicial committee. The cm has also announced a judicial inquiry under a 3-member committee. As a third announcement, the cm has directed the Chief Secretary and DGP to go to Prayagraj. On the maha Kumbh stampede, Uttar Pradesh cm yogi adityanath said, 'We are also announcing financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh each to the families of each deceased who lost their lives in the accident on behalf of the state government. The judicial commission will investigate the entire matter and submit its report to the state government within a time frame. In this regard, the Chief Secretary and DGP themselves will visit Prayagraj once and look into all those issues if required.'

What did cm yogi say on judicial inquiry?

Referring to the judicial inquiry, cm yogi adityanath said, 'The government has decided that a judicial inquiry will be conducted into the incident. For this, we have formed a 3-member judicial commission headed by Justice Harsh Kumar, former DG VK Gupta and retired IAS DK Singh.' Along with this, the chief minister said that the entire incident will also be investigated to find out the reasons for such accidents.

What did the fair officer and DIG Vaibhav krishna say?

Meanwhile, on wednesday late evening, Fair Officer Vijay kiran Anand and DIG Vaibhav krishna gave detailed information about the accident that took place at Sangam Nose on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya. He told that before Brahma Muhurta, between 1 am and 2 pm, there was a huge crowd pressure on the Akhara Marg in the fair area. Due to the pressure of the crowd, the barricades on the other side broke and people crossed the barricades and came to the other side and started crushing the devotees waiting to take bath at Brahma Muhurta.

The government immediately carried out relief and rescue operations and removed the crowd and took about 90 injured to the hospital through ambulances, but unfortunately 30 devotees have died. 25 of these have been identified and the rest are yet to be identified. Some of the dead are from outside states, including 4 from Karnataka, one from Assam, one from Gujarat. Some injured have been taken away by family members and 36 injured are being treated at the local medical college. Helpline number 1920 has been issued by the fair administration for the convenience of the devotees. The situation is normal at this time. On january 29, the government had given strict instructions that there will be no VIP protocol. Today the fair administration did not entertain VIP protocol. No VIP protocol will be applicable on any of the main bathing festivals.
