Woman molested in express train, Railway police arrested the accused!
Bandra Railway police has arrested a coach attendant in the case of obscene act and molestation of a female passenger in the kutch Express going from mumbai to Gujarat. The accused coach attendant has been identified as Hariom Vishram Meena (29), a resident of Rajasthan.
Bandra Railway police official said that the accused was posted as an attendant in the AC coach of kutch Express. During this time, when the train left from Bandra, he molested the female passenger. After which, on receiving the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused and he has been arrested.
Such incidents have happened before
Many cases of molestation of women in trains have come to light in Maharashtra. Earlier in june 2024, a 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a female passenger inside a suburban train in Thane.
The 32-year-old woman had lodged her complaint with the Railway Police. The officer had said that the woman told in her complaint that when she was travelling in the general coach, the accused came to her and asked for money for a religious trip. She gave him Rs 10, after which he touched her inappropriately. The officer said that a case of sexual harassment was registered against the man under sections of the IPC.

Earlier, a similar case had come to light from Mumbai. Where the general coaches were packed due to the crowd in a local train. During this time, a 25-year-old man molested the woman. The 25-year-old woman was travelling with her office colleague.
