Budget 2025: What are the expectations of the middle class?

Every year, as soon as the budget season arrives, the expectations of everyone from the common man to the big industrialists start touching the sky. Especially, the eyes of the middle class of the country are always fixed on it. The middle class, burdened by inflation and tax, expects some relief from the budget. But will they get anything special in the budget this time? Will the government understand their concerns and take some concrete steps to reduce their problems?

This question has become more important this time, because the general budget is being presented at a time when the country is struggling with weak economic growth, falling rupee and global uncertainties.

When will the budget be presented?

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2025 on february 1. This will be Sitharaman's 8th budget as Finance Minister. From taxpayers to farmers, women, industry, everyone's eyes are fixed on this budget. Many important announcements can be made in the budget to be presented after 2 days. It is expected that this time the limit of income tax exemption can also be increased. At the same time, many industries can be given a boost by allocating more budget. Apart from this, the government can also announce the launch of many new schemes.

Inflation, the biggest concern for the middle class

Inflation has become the biggest problem for the middle class today. From petrol-diesel to food items, the prices of everything are skyrocketing. The huge increase in the prices of food items, oil, gas, and other essential goods in the last few years has badly affected the pockets of the middle class. And this inflation is not just one-time, but is increasing continuously.

The blow of inflation has also affected the standard of living of the middle class. While earlier people used to save a little, now many families are facing difficulties in meeting their daily needs. Whatever increase has happened in salary, it is very less compared to inflation, due to which the lifestyle of the common man has deteriorated.
