The entire city of Prayagraj along with the fair area was filled with the crowd of devotees who came to take a holy dip in maha Kumbh on Mauni Amavasya. Devotees were accommodated from roads and stairs to those places inside, where five times namaz is offered daily. Jama Masjid of Chowk area, which is known as the biggest mosque of the city, Shahi Masjid of Khuldabad area, mosque in front of Dufferin Hospital, mosque of roshan Bagh area, along with more than three dozen mosques, madrasas and dargahs were opened for general devotees for three to four days.
Not only this, people of the Muslim community in Prayagraj welcomed and greeted the devotees who came for maha Kumbh by showering flowers on them at many places. Langar and Bhandaara were organized at many places. At some places, people of the Muslim community greeted the devotees by presenting them Ang Vastram.
