Opposition MPs furious over stampede in maha Kumbh?
The opposition is constantly raising questions on the Uttar Pradesh government and administration on the stampede and deaths in the event on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. All the opposition parties are also raising questions on the death toll given by the government and administration. Leaders of opposition parties say that it is difficult to trust the death toll presented by the government and administration. According to the administration, 30 people died in the stampede in Prayagraj on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, but opposition leaders say that these figures of the government and administration are not trustworthy. Because the kind of picture and information that has come out is telling that these figures given by the administration are not revealing the truth that actually happened during the incident.
What did the SP chief say?
Samajwadi party chief akhilesh yadav raised questions and said that the figures presented by the government and administration regarding the deaths during the stampede in Prayagraj Kumbh are not believable, the government should tell the truth. At the same time, RJD mp Manoj Jha raised questions and said that the kind of information and pictures that have come out from Kumbh are telling how big the incident was, but the figure of 30 deaths presented by the government is not presenting the real picture of the truth.
Shiv Sena UBT raised these questions
Shiv Sena uddhav faction mp Anil Desai also raised questions on the Prayagraj incident and said that on one hand the government was claiming that arrangements have been made for crores of people but this incident exposed the claims of the government. Anil Desai said that the figures of deaths presented by the government do not seem correct. The government should come forward and clarify on this. The Uttar Pradesh government and administration have come forward about 17 hours after the incident and given official information about the injured and the dead. According to the administration, 90 people were injured during the stampede on Mauni Amavasya, out of which 30 died while the rest are undergoing treatment. But the opposition is constantly expressing distrust on the figures of the Uttar Pradesh government and administration regarding the number of injured and dead.
