Finance minister nirmala sitharaman has taken special care of bihar in the budget for the financial year 2025-26. nirmala sitharaman announced the formation of Makhana Board in bihar in the budget speech on Saturday. Apart from this, some more big announcements have been made for bihar which include education and air service. Sitharaman said that the formation of Makhana Board has been announced to improve production, processing, value addition and marketing. The board will organize PFO and train the farmers cultivating Makhana. Along with this, the benefits of related government schemes will be ensured to the farmers.
Establishment of Institute for Food Processing
Finance minister Sitharaman said that National Institute of Food technology Entrepreneurship and Management will be formed to promote food processing in Bihar. This institute will promote food processing in eastern India. Along with this, the income of farmers will increase while the youth will get employment opportunities.
Construction of new airfields in Bihar
Sitharaman has announced the Udaan scheme for 120 new places. Under this, new field airports will open in Bihar. Three new airports will be built in Bihar. patna airport will be added to this. Along with this, a big announcement has been made for Western Kosi Canal and Mithilaanchal. He said that financial assistance will be given to the Western Kosi Canal Project.
IIT will be expanded
Infrastructure will be developed in IITs started after 2014 in Bihar. This will enable additional students to study in these IITs. patna IIT will be expanded. Hostels and other infrastructure will be expanded.
