Big announcement in the budget for government employees!
Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman today on saturday made big announcements for many sectors of the country in the general budget for 2025-26. During this, she also took care of government employees. Let us see what was in the government's budget for government employees.
Now government employees will be trained vigorously
In the budget today, the Finance minister allocated more than Rs 334 crore to the Ministry of Personnel for training government employees in the country and abroad and for necessary training related to infrastructure. Along with this, an amount of Rs 100 crore has been set aside for administrative reforms. This provision is for pilot projects related to modernization and administrative reforms of government offices, which include promotion of e-governance, promotion of good governance and a comprehensive system for redressal of public grievances.

Out of the total allocation of Rs 334.45 crore made to the Ministry of Personnel, Rs 105.99 crore is for the expenditure incurred in setting up the Training Division, Institute of secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) and lal bahadur shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Rs 118.46 crore is for training schemes and Rs 110 crore is for the National Civil service Capacity Building Program or Mission Karmayogi. Let us tell you that the purpose of Mission Karmayogi is to make government employees more creative, active, professional and tech-friendly.

According to the budget documents, the provision of Rs 105.99 crore includes the expenditure incurred in setting up ISTM in Delhi, lal bahadur shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie and the Training Division of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). Several foundation courses, refresher courses and mid-career training will be provided in these institutes so that secretariat employees of all grades can be informed about the new rules and qualifications. Apart from this, it includes expenses on domestic and foreign travel of Central secretariat service (CSS) and Central secretariat Stenographer service (CSSS) officers and course fees. Apart from this, Rs 118.46 crore is for training schemes and National Civil service Capacity Building Program. Apart from this, a fund of Rs 3 crore has also been kept for the promotion of Right to Information (RTI) Act during the next financial year.
