How do people get misled by fake news on social media?
News agency spoke to senior journalist Mohammad Shoaib. He said that most people in india are not very educated, so as soon as they see any news on social media or TV, they believe it to be true and then form their opinion based on that. Nowadays AI is also very active. The kind of news we want to see, we see more of that kind of news on social media. In this way, social media contributes a lot in forming people's opinion.
Mohammad Shoaib further said, 'Unemployment is also a big reason. people doing employment, business do not have time to join riots or rallies. In such a situation, political people have difficulty in recruiting.'
What is the connection of riots with politics?
Mohammad Shoaib says that communal riots are directly related to politics. Most political parties adopt the policy of 'divide and rule'. This has been happening since the british rule. This rule is adopted everywhere to rule and it works too. Some big leaders have also said in their statements that development is definitely there, but to win elections, Hindu-Muslim will have to be done. This is absolutely correct, that is why some political parties lose elections despite doing good work during their tenure. That is why leaders now sell only those things in elections which sell.
Mohammad Shoaib held the government responsible for communal riots. He said that if the government wants, there will be no riots. The government has law and order, the government has force. If the government creates fear of law in the minds of the people and punishes as per the law, then no one will riot. The rioters get the support of the government or some political party. That is why they riot. Actually the criminals are not that bad, but the court spoils them by not punishing them.
