It states that the Lieutenant governor of the National capital Territory of delhi, on the occasion of the general election of the delhi assembly, declares a public holiday on Wednesday, february 5, for all government offices, local/autonomous bodies, public sector undertakings under the government of the National capital Territory of Delhi.

Out of the 70 constituencies in delhi, 58 seats in 11 districts are general and 12 are reserved for Scheduled Castes. Apart from this, delhi has 83.49 lakh male voters and 71.73 lakh female voters. The number of third gender voters is 1,261. These also include 25.89 lakh young voters. There are more than 1.55 crore voters in Delhi. The total number of polling stations in delhi elections is 13,033, out of which 70-70 polling stations are managed by persons with disabilities (PWD) and women.

Last time AAP had won 62 seats
In the last assembly elections, aam aadmi party had won 62 seats. The remaining eight seats went to BJP's account. congress could not even open its account.
