Will there be a JPC investigation of maha Kumbh stampede?

 

congress mp from allahabad Lok Sabha constituency of Uttar Pradesh, Ujjwal raman singh on monday alleged that the actual number of people killed due to stampede in Prayagraj maha Kumbh is being hidden and this incident happened due to the mismanagement of the government. While participating in the discussion on the motion of thanks brought on the President's address in the Lok Sabha, he also said that a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) should be formed to investigate the stampede incident.

'I demand a JPC...'

Ujjwal raman singh alleged that the Uttar Pradesh government left the entire system at the mercy of God. He said, 'It is not being told how many people died in the stampede. It is not being told how many people are missing.' Singh said that the claims of the Uttar Pradesh government proved to be hollow. The congress mp said, 'I demand a JPC. All MPs should go and see what kind of mismanagement is there.' He said that the bjp sees conspiracy everywhere, whereas it should look at its shortcomings. Singh said, 'The central and Uttar Pradesh government should apologize to the country.'

DMK mp kanimozhi also mentioned the stampede incident of maha Kumbh in the house and said that the bjp government of Uttar Pradesh did not protect the people. He said that when religion and politics are mixed together, people have to face trouble, this stampede is an example of this. According to the DMK mp, his party supports caste census, but is not in favor of delimitation on the basis of population. kanimozhi said that the political strength of a state with population control and modern education should not be judged on the basis of population.
