Posts of 2 important commissions including BKTC vacant!
Political stir has once again intensified in Uttarakhand. The posts of President of Badri-Kedar temple Committee (BKTC), State women Commission and Child Rights Protection Commission in the state have ended in january, due to which discussions to fill these important posts are gaining momentum. Meanwhile, many leaders of bharatiya janata party (BJP), who have been waiting for responsibility for the last two years, are now looking towards the government with hopeful eyes. Due to major programs like civic elections, Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and National Games, this issue has been postponed till now, but now the pressure on the government of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has started increasing regarding the distribution of responsibilities.
3 major posts became vacant in the month of January
Three major posts have become vacant in uttarakhand in the month of january, including Badri-Kedar temple Committee (BKTC), State women Commission and Child Rights Protection Commission. These three institutions play an important role in the state from religious, social and legal point of view.
1. Badri-Kedar temple Committee (BKTC) chairman post vacant
The uttarakhand government brought the Badri-Kedar temple Committee back into existence after dissolving the Chardham Devasthanam Management Board in the year 2022. After this, senior bjp leader Ajendra ajay was appointed as the chairman of the committee. Now his three-year term has ended in january 2025. Currently the winter yatra is going on and Chardham yatra 2025 will start in April-May. In such a situation, soon this responsibility can be given to a leader. There is a discussion in the political corridors that Ajendra ajay can get this post again.
2. State women Commission chairman chair vacant
Before the assembly elections in the year 2022, on january 8, bjp leader Kusum Kandwal was appointed as the chairperson of the uttarakhand State women Commission. Her term has ended in january 2025. This commission looks into issues related to women's rights and security. In such a situation, this responsibility can soon be handed over to a woman leader.
3. Tenure of Child Rights Protection Commission ends
Similarly, on 8 january 2022, Geeta Khanna was appointed as the Chairperson of the Child Rights Protection Commission. Her term has also ended. This commission works on issues related to protection of children's rights, exploitation, child labor and education. Therefore, this post also cannot be kept vacant for a long time.
