Will UCC be implemented in Maharashtra?

The gujarat government has formed a committee to assess the need for Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state and prepare its draft bill. After this, questions have started arising whether the party is planning to implement it in other bjp ruled states like Uttarakhand. deputy cm Eknath Shinde was questioned about this in Maharashtra.

deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde was asked that the gujarat government has appointed a panel to draft the UCC. If you have a government in Maharashtra, will the Uniform Civil Code be implemented in Maharashtra. In response to this, deputy cm Eknath Shinde said, "Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, ajit pawar and I will sit together to discuss this and take a decision."

Will present report in gujarat in 45 days

Let us tell you that gujarat chief minister Bhupendra patel said that the five-member committee headed by former supreme court Justice Ranjana Desai will submit its report in 45 days. He said, "To assess the need for UCC and prepare its draft bill, we have decided to form a committee headed by a retired supreme court judge."

The state government will decide on the implementation of UCC after receiving the report. Other members of the committee include retired indian Administrative service (IAS) officer CL Meena, advocate RC Kodekar, educationist Dakshesh Thakar and social worker Geeta Shroff.
