PM narendra Modi: Will the lotus bloom in Delhi?
BJP made the name of prime minister narendra Modi and his policies its main weapon to win Delhi. The party's strategy was focused on the achievements of the Modi government, which included infrastructure, poor welfare schemes and the promise of a 'double engine government'.
Arvind kejriwal has contested the election this time as a candidate of the aam aadmi party (AAP) from the New delhi assembly seat. kejriwal has declared assets worth Rs 4.2 crore in his affidavit. The special thing is that he does not have any liabilities (debt/loan). According to his election affidavit, a total of 15 criminal cases are registered against him, out of which 5 are serious cases.
Senior journalist Adesh Rawal said, if the election is between bjp and aam aadmi party, then only aam aadmi party will benefit. But if the vote share of the congress party increases a little, then bjp may benefit. The congress party has been empty handed in delhi for the last two elections. If the vote share increases from 4.5 percent to 10-11 percent, then bjp will directly benefit.
At the same time, Manoj Mishra told that PM Modi campaigned in delhi as the main face of BJP. His speech in lok sabha a day before voting was completely focused on delhi elections. On the day of voting, he reached Prayagraj and took a bath in maha Kumbh. PM Modi is more active in delhi elections than he used to lead the elections of other states. He feels that if BJP does not win delhi this time, then it will not be able to win in the next election. He further said, 'Delhi has a large population of poor people and they are not yet disillusioned with Arvind Kejriwal. All political parties have made promises of free-free, but people are believing in Kejriwal's promises. Still, the danger of division of votes is very high.'
