57,792 government properties usurped in the name of Waqf Board! 

Big information has come to light about illegal Waqf properties in Uttar Pradesh. Five districts are on top in the state in terms of such Waqf properties where Waqf Board has claimed a large number of properties. This list includes names of districts like Shahjahanpur, Rampur, Jaunpur and Bareilly including ram nagari Ayodhya. The Joint Parliamentary Committee formed on Waqf properties has given district-wise information of such properties in UP. The details of which have been handed over to lok sabha Speaker Om Birla.

According to the information, a large number of government properties have been usurped in the name of Waqf in five districts of UP. In each of these districts, the Waqf Board has claimed two thousand or more properties. Whereas in the revenue records, these lands come under the category of public use. JPC has now handed over this report to Om Birla.

Waqf's claim on government properties

According to the JPC report, the properties on which the Waqf Board has claimed. According to it, 2589 properties are registered in Shahjahanpur, out of which 2371 are government properties. Similarly, there are 3365 Waqf properties in Rampur, out of which 2363 are government properties. In Ramnagari ayodhya too, Waqf has claimed 3652 properties, out of which 2116 are public properties. In Jaunpur, 2096 out of 4167 and in Bareilly, 2000 out of 3499 Waqf properties are located on government land.

Apart from these, Waqf's claim on government properties has also been seen in the top 21 districts of UP. In which there are 1792 properties in Lakhimpur Kheri, 1778 in Bulandshahr, 1610 in Fatehpur, 1581 in Sitapur, 1575 in Azamgarh, 1497 in Saharanpur. The names of Moradabad, Pratapgarh, Agra, Aligarh, Ghazipur, Meerut, Sambhal, Amroha, Deoria and Bijnor districts are also included in this list.
