Kollam Greenfield Motorway Hits Speed Breaker As kerala Wooded Area Branch Rejects NHAI Thought

The minister, when asked if that government proposes to trade the alignment of NH-744, stated the the state wooded area branch has rejected the idea for the diversion of wooded area land in Ayiranalloor and Edamon. "The alignment for NH-744 is under review in the Madavoor, Ayiranalloor, and Edamon villages in the Kadambattukonam-Edamon segment. Land acquisition in those villages can only proceed after the woodland branch's concurrence on the revised alignment," he stated.
The venture is a Part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana and could cost approximately Rs 3,000 crore. Part of the NH-744, the Aryankavu-Edamon-Kadampattukonam stretch is set sixty-two km. The total land required for the Greenfield portion is ready 174 hectares in thiruvananthapuram and kollam districts.
The greenfield alignment from Kadambattukonam to Edamon is proposed in the vicinity of the present kollam to Edamon phase of NH-744.
Kollam-Thirumanglam National Highway
