The pace of development is increasing every day, the government is working on new schemes for development. Along with this, the responsibility of officials is being given to bring those schemes on the ground. In this pace of development, the outline of the construction of 2 new ganga bridges has been prepared to cross the ganga river passing through kanpur city and go towards other cities and connect them. It has been targeted to complete it by the year 2027. Along with this, a network of 93 km ring road will also be laid around kanpur city. The special thing is that these two bridges and the ring road will be prepared by the National Highway Authority of India.
By the way, four bridges have already been built in the city to cross the ganga river from kanpur and enter other cities, whether it is the ganga Barrage bridge, Shuklaganj ganga bridge, Jajmau bridge or the ganga bridge built in Bithoor. Out of these, the old ganga bridge of Shuklaganj in kanpur had completed its life span three months ago and traffic was completely stopped on this bridge built about 140 years ago. Suddenly this bridge collapsed in the middle, due to which now two new bridges are to be built in the city. One is to be built near Chakeri airport and the other is proposed near Bithoor religious place which will connect Unnao, lucknow, Hardoi, kanpur Aligarh Highway. Traffic will also be smooth with the construction of these bridges.
What will be the length of the two new ganga bridges to be built in Kanpur
The ganga bridge to be built at Bithoor is to be of three and a half kilometers length, while the ganga river bridge to be built behind Chakeri airport in kanpur is said to be just one kilometer long. This bridge will be constructed by NHAI, the 93 km ring road to be built in kanpur will connect the highways of other cities outside kanpur city. For this, the central government is spending 40 billion 77 crores. The ganga river bridge to be built from Chakeri area of kanpur has been decided to be a six-lane bridge on which many vehicles will be able to pass simultaneously, which has to be completed as soon as possible.
The target of completing it by the year 2027 has also been set, while the UP State Industrial Development Authority will also build a ganga bridge in the shape of Y from Trans ganga City of kanpur, the cost of which is estimated to be around 700 crores, for which the lucknow team will work and it will also connect the city.
